Custom Image Generation is a new technology that enable the permanent application of designs on to Pittards leathers.

The development was originally engineered from the military need for very specific camouflage patterning. In Canada, the UK, and with the US Marines, specific camouflage patterns are identified for each relevant field of operation and for each service.

Using CIG technology Pittards has now created a new camouflage leather for military applications and the hunting market.

Being able to chase a quarry without being seen is paramount to the hunter. Wearing black, green or other solid colour leather boots and gloves can significantly compromise invisibility, which is achieved with uniform patterning. Pittards Sherwood offers a unique and durable camouflage pattern on leather for the optimum invisibility of the wearer. The pattern is incorporated into the grain structure, providing longer lasting aesthetic characteristics, whilst ensuring that all the benefit associated with Pittards WR100X tanning process remain.
